The Town of Orangeville has a variety of committees that advise Council on important matters. If you would like to get involved with the Town, attend a committee meeting to stay up-to-date or check back for open volunteer opportunities to sit on one of our committees. At the beginning of each Council term (following a municipal election) and as vacancies occur, Council will call for applications to volunteer on a Town advisory committee.

Economic Development and Culture - One (1) Vacancy - Business Community Representative
Economic Development and Culture meets bi-monthly or at the call of the Chair. Consideration will be given to individuals who have the following:
- Experience and knowledge of manufacturing, post-secondary education, professional services, arts and culture sector or creative sector, and
- Business experience and expertise within the general business community or the arts and culture industry.
Mayor's Youth Advisory Council - Three (3) Vacancies
Mayor's Youth Advisory Council meets quarterly or as required. Consideration will be given to individuals up to the age of 20 who have the following:
- Demonstrate an understanding and desire to promote youth initiatives within the community, and
- Experience providing leadership experiences for youth.

Joint Compliance Audit Committee
The Joint Compliance Audit Committee is responsible for reviewing compliance audit applications submitted by an elector who believes on reasonable grounds that a candidate or third-party advertiser has contravened the provisions of the Municipal Elections Act relating to campaign or advertising finances. The Committee will be responsible for reviewing applications for all eight Dufferin municipalities.
