Sustainable Orangeville has announced the winners of the 2019 Bloomin‘ Garden Showcase. The event, that leads into the Communities in Bloom judges arriving in Town, allows residents and businesses to showcase their gardening skills and successes. Congratulations to the winners in the following categories:
Best Bloomin’ Home Floral Display – Gerelyn Tabsing of Victoria Street
Best Bloomin’ Home Landscape – Daniella Giovanatto and Tom Frittenburg of John Street
Best Bloomin’ Government Building – Alder Recreation Centre, 275 Alder Street
Best Bloomin’ Business – Millennium 1 Solutions, 695 Riddell Road
Best Bloomin’ Restaurant – Mill Creek Gardens, 3 Little York Street
Best Bloomin’ Apartment Building – Kim and Neil Sinclair of First Avenue
Best Bloomin’ Container Gardens – Janie and David Kirk of Zina Street
Best Edible Garden – Matthew and April Smith of McCarthy Street
Best Bloomin’ School – Princess Margaret Public School, 51 Wellington Street
Best Bloomin’ Children’s Garden – Keira Stevens, Sarah and Sophia Tabsing, and The Papavasilou Kids
This year’s fifth annual Bloomin’ Garden Showcase received a record number of entries. Winners will receive a Communities in Bloom garden showcase winner sign and a jug of Miracle Gro, compliments of Scotts Canada. Children’s garden winners will receive a free family swim pass. Prizes can be collected at the Alder Recreation Centre’s customer service desk.
