The Town of Orangeville has announced the community splash pads will open for the 2023 season beginning at 10 a.m. on June 2.
Located at Fendley Park and Harvey Curry Park, these amenities provide a great way for residents and their children to have fun while keeping cool.
The splash pads will be open daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. until approximately early September, weather-permitting.
Washroom and changeroom facilities are available during splash pad hours.
Here are some things to remember when visiting either location:
• It is important to keep yourself and your kids hydrated, especially in higher temperatures. Bring lots of water for your group.
• Regularly re-apply sunscreen, even if it’s waterproof! It is recommended you re-apply every two hours, and more frequently when swimming or being active outdoors.
• Share and take turns. The splash pads will be busy and are often crowded on incredibly hot days, there’s plenty of space and time for everyone to have a turn and enjoy the water as a community.
• Be safe. Remember to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and remind your children to be cautious if running around when the ground is wet.
• Most importantly, have fun!
