Orangeville shortlisted as a SiriusXM Music Town finalist

Orangeville has been shortlisted as a SiriusXM Music Town finalist! After receiving nominations from over 400 unique towns across Canada, Orangeville was selected as one of the top 16 finalists thanks to the passionate stories submitted by residents.

The top 16 finalists were announced today across four regions -- Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Eastern Canada, and voting began. Canadians will cast votes at musictown.siriusxm.ca for their top town in each region and finalists can increase their odds of winning by taking to social media to earn rally points towards the ultimate prize using #SXMMusicTown. Canadians will have until July 11 to vote for their hometown.

To celebrate the return of live music, SiriusXM Canada launched Music Town to bring once-in-a-lifetime concerts to communities that don’t typically get the big festivals or artists. Headlined by some of Canada’s biggest names - Arkells, Dallas Smith, Walk off the Earth, and 2Frères, SiriusXM Music Town will award four Canadian towns with an epic show.

Orangeville is competing against Belleville, Timmins and Uxbridge in the Ontario region to win an epic concert experience from Walk off the Earth this fall funded by SiriusXM and Live Nation Canada.

I’m encouraging all music lovers in Orangeville and everyone who has visited our great Town to vote. Let’s bring Walk Off the Earth to Orangeville!”
