The Town of Orangeville is launching the creation of a new Corporate Strategic Plan that will clearly articulate a vision for the municipality, help guide municipal staff and Council in the allocation of priorities and resources over the next term and set short to long-term goals to inform the actions of the municipality. The plan will make recommendations that reflect input by Council, staff, stakeholders, business owners, and residents.

The municipality seeks an innovative Strategic Plan that addresses internal organizational capacity, including the maintenance of existing service levels across all departments, while also considering external challenges and opportunities. When completed, the plan will provide a common focus and guide the direction of departmental work plans and budgets.

Assisting in this process is Deloitte LLP, an experienced and respected strategic development consulting firm that will undertake the research and analysis as well as consultation and stakeholder engagement required to complete the project.

Critical to the development of the Strategic Plan is understanding the priorities and perspectives of the community and, as the project unfolds, numerous opportunities to participate will be made available. According to the Town’s Acting CAO Ray Osmond, “Development of a new Strategic Plan provides an opportunity for us to collectively plan for the future as we seek to build on our community’s strengths. The process will be inclusive, and the resulting plan will guide Council and staff in their work in the coming years.”

The plan is expected to be finalized in early 2023.
