Orangeville Fire responded to a call just after midnight with reports of flames coming from the building at 22 Mill Street. The fire is now stabilized; however, the cause remains under investigation. Orangeville Fire will remain on-site for most of the day to continue their investigation.
“We are working on-site with our partners from Red Cross to ensure that all families who were impacted by the fire are supported with what they need,” said Orangeville Fire Chief, Ron Morden. “We will be on-site for most of today and ask for the public’s help to stay back and allow the fire crews to investigate the cause of the fire.”
Mill Street, between Armstrong Street and Broadway remain closed until further notice. Orangeville Library (Mill Street Branch) is closed and all programs and events are cancelled or rescheduled.
