The Orangeville Farmers’ Market is back on Second Street at Broadway for its 31st season starting Saturday, May 7 at 8 a.m. Now in its 31h year of celebrating local food, the Orangeville Farmers’ Market has a long history of offering a wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, meats, and treats.
Local food tastes even better when it’s paired with local fun. On May 7, be sure to enjoy live music, free bucket truck rides (courtesy of Orangeville Hydro), and treat the kids to a fun balloon creature and free face painting, or play one of the big family games set up in Alexandra Park, all courtesy of the businesses of downtown Orangeville.
Downtown Orangeville has a lot going for it – it’s a big part of why so many families relocate here or why so many have stayed for generations. Beyond its beauty and character, downtown Orangeville has lots of great locally owned stores & restaurants as well as a vast array of service businesses to help you with whatever you need. Downtown business owners will be marking opening day of the market with their annual Clean Sweep event at 10 a.m. when merchants will be outside, sweeping away the last vestiges of the cold weather months and welcoming visitors.
After the market, join the #FordPlayoffCharge as Ford of Canada’s mission to recognize small business rolls into Orangeville on Saturday, May 7, between 3 and 6 p.m. and you can get your chance to win BIG at Bluebird Café and Grill (100 Broadway) — and support local, too. The Ford Street Fleet will be boosting your post-season spirit all afternoon with electric prizes like Toronto Maple Leafs playoff tickets, passes to a Ford Playoff Party at Real Sports, and limited edition souvenir swag.
