The Town of Orangeville invites job seekers and commuters to explore local employment opportunities at the Orangeville and Area Job Fair on Tuesday, October 22. Hosted by the Town’s Economic Development & Culture office, the event supports local hiring efforts and showcases the variety of positions available in Dufferin County.
More than 30 local employers will attend the job fair and will be recruiting for permanent full-time and part-time positions. Key industries represented will include manufacturing, health care, hospitality, social services, retail, and food service. A full list of participating employers can be found at orangevillebusiness.ca.
As part of ongoing efforts to support workforce development in the community, this will be the third job fair hosted by the Town of Orangeville. Past events have attracted between 400 and 650 job seekers. “There are excellent employment opportunities available right here in our community,” says Ruth Phillips, Manager of Economic Development & Culture for the Town of Orangeville. “Finding qualified, local candidates is a priority for many area businesses and this job fair is an opportunity for job seekers and employers to connect.”
The Orangeville & Area Job Fair will take place at the Orangeville Best Western Plus Inn & Suites on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 3-7 p.m. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally, bring resumes, and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews.
This event is hosted by the Town of Orangeville Economic Development office in partnership with the Georgian College Centre for Career and Employment Services (CCES), the County of Dufferin, Waterloo Wellington Dufferin Workforce Planning Board, and the Dufferin Board of Trade.
