Notice of project open house - Transportation Master Plan

The Town of Orangeville is developing a Transportation Master Plan to plan for future growth in the community. A Transportation Master Plan (TMP) provides a strategy to guide the growth of our transportation system, such as roads, sidewalks, public transit, and more. It works together with other master plans within the community, such as the Recreation and Parks Master Plan and the Town’s Official Plan.

The Transportation Master Plan examines current transportation challenges and, assesses current and future growth patterns to identify where transportation improvements are needed and to maintain the current transportation network. The Transportation Master Plan is being undertaken in accordance with the requirements outlined in the 2023 Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Approach #1 (an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act).

Engaging our community is a vital component of this study. At the public open house, we will present preliminary information and invite the public to discuss their ideas with the project team. The meeting has been scheduled for:

Online copies of the display material will be posted on the project website following the meeting for those who may not be able to attend.
