Notice of Hearing
Minor Variance Application
File No. A-08/24
An application has been submitted to request a minor variance (s) to Zoning By-law No. 22-90 at 2 Fead Street. The property is zoned as “Restricted Commercial/Residential (C5) Zone”.
Purpose of the Application:
The application, made under Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c P.13, as amended, would allow the applicant to have a dwelling unit without a required parking space in a currently existing mixed-use building’s lot. Under the current Zoning By-law (Section 5.7 1 (d)), one parking space is required for each dwelling unit in a mixed-use building.
Approval of the variance would all for the applicant to construct a dwelling unit to be constructed in the existing non-residential building. Four parking spaces have been proposed for commercial use in the existing rear parking lot.
