The Orangeville Public Library will offer curbside pick-up service, by appointment, effective Monday, May 25. Library customers can reserve items through the online catalogue or library app, by emailing [email protected] or by calling or 519-941-0610 -- and then collect their materials through a curbside pick-up service offered Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular loan periods apply.

The library has designed a contactless system to provide materials to clients. All materials, once returned, will be quarantined for at least three days before being loaned to the next person, as suggested by health professionals.

Staff will contact clients within two business days once the order is ready to schedule a date and time for contactless pick-up. Clients will come to the Mill Street entrance of the library at the arranged pick-up time. Please park and call or text 519-278-1103. When a staff member brings out your order, wait for staff to back away from the table, and then walk up to pick up your material. Walk-up and bicycle orders will be served by appointment.

The library is requesting that only one member of each household arrives to pick up materials and that everyone follows the directional signs posted at the main entrance. You can designate a family member or friend to pick up your order for you.

While both library locations will remain closed, as per provincial directive, many online services continue to be available. The digital collection includes eBooks, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, and online courses with Mango Languages and Lynda.com. The library is also offering virtual programs for adults and children on the library’s YouTube channel.

The Mill Street drop box is open to accept returns (no bags please).
