Beginning April 1, the Town of Orangeville will begin the process of flushing Town fire hydrants and removing built-up sediments in watermains.
Every year, the Town of Orangeville implements a six-month process to ensure these essential parts of our infrastructure remain in good working order.
Work will run throughout 2023 from April 1 until October 31, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Orangeville Water Works staff will be carrying out the maintenance.
While watermains are flushed, if there is sedimentation to remove, flushing may cause discolouration of the water. Please check your cold-water supply before use. If discolouration does occur, run the cold water until it clears.
The Town appreciates the cooperation and understanding of our residents and businesses during the annual flushing and maintenance programs.
Residents or businesses with questions or concerns can contact the Public Works Department at 519 941-0440 ext 4500 or by email at [email protected].
