Orangeville is celebrating the Love, Orangeville tourism brand with a vibrant installation downtown and a suite of tools to engage the community, encourage residents to shop locally, and increase visitation.

From now until February 28, residents and tourists are invited to visit the heart of downtown Orangeville and find the big, bright LOVE sign in front of Town Hall. Visitors are encouraged to snap a photo with the sign and tag @OrangevilleTourism on Facebook and Instagram.

“Orangeville has so much to offer to everyone who comes here,” said Councillor Joe Andrews, Chair of the Economic Development and Culture Committee. “There is always so much to learn about our town – if you’ve lived here your whole life, are new to Orangeville, or just stopping by, our rich heritage and culture offers something for all of us.”

While the LOVE sign promotes Orangeville as a tourism destination, the online suite of tourism tools showcases local businesses and highlights Orangeville’s key features. These resources include interactive maps, photos, information, and more. Visitors will find over 160 points of interest, a downtown parking map, and seven self-guided walking tours in the new digital guide and discover over 200 local businesses in the new tourism directory. Both tools have the ability to provide directions from a visitor’s exact location and show nearby points of interest, when location settings are enabled on a phone, tablet, or computer.

Finding the perfect event is easy, thanks to the online event calendar. This tool allows visitors to search Orangeville’s lively events by date, interest, location, or simply browse what’s upcoming.

“These online tools create a simplified way to plan your visit to our beautiful Town, explore our public art collection, learn about our history, and visit our incredible local businesses” added Andrews. “We’re excited to see everyone enjoying our community.”

The LOVE sign will be located outside Town Hall at 87 Broadway until February 28. Visit LoveOrangeville.ca to find the digital guide, tourism directory, or view the events calendar.
