Canada Post labour strike and municipal operations: What you need to know
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike continued as of the end of the day on November 19, impacting mail services.
If you typically rely on mail for payments, here’s what you can do:
For property taxes:
- Pay your bill in person at Town Hall (87 Broadway)
- Pay your bill online at orangeville.ca/PayMyTaxes
- Pay your bill online through your banking institution
For parking tickets:
- In-person at Town Hall (87 Broadway)
- Online at orangeville.ca/PayMyTicket
For permits and licences:
- Pay online with your application
- Pay in person at Town Hall
Please do not mail-in payment forms during the CUPW strike.

In this role, you will:
- First point of contact, assisting with inquiries, referrals, and small business support
- Support outreach to businesses, needs of the office, and assist with projects and initiatives
- Maintain filing systems, client databases, analyzation of statistics, and more
- Update website content and prepare print and electronic print materials
What you need to succeed:
- Post-secondary diploma in business administration, marketing, or a related field
- 2 years of administrative experience
- Excellent communications and superior customer service skills
