Sustainable Orangeville is inviting residents to show off their gardens as the popular garden showcase event returns this summer. This year will mark the sixth year for the fun competition, as last year the event was not held due to COVID-19.
With eight different categories in private, public or business gardens, there are plenty of opportunities to participate. The event begins June 14 and runs until July 7.
The event offers prizes and bragging rights for Orangeville’s gardeners and property owners. Best Bloomin’ categories include home floral display; home landscape; container gardens; children’s garden (12 & under); edible garden; condo, apartment or seniors’ complex; business, and government building.
This year, the Bloomin’ Garden Showcase entries and viewing sites are all online. Gardeners may submit their photos to https://www.orangeville.ca/CiB-garden-submission/. Entries will be accepted until July 7, so don’t miss out on the fun!

The Bloomin’ Garden Showcase is an important part of the Communities in Bloom program, which seeks to foster civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement.
