The Town of Orangeville issues property tax bills twice each year. Learn how to pay your property taxes, review our annual tax rates, request a tax certificate or apply for a tax rebate. Property taxes allow the Town to provide a variety of services to our community.
Interim bills for all tax classes are due in:
- February
- April
Residential, Farm and Pipeline property taxes are due in:
- June
- September
Commercial, Industrial and Multi-Residential property taxes are due in:
- August
- October
Please refer to your tax bill for the specific due dates.
Payment options
There are a variety of ways that you can pay your property taxes.
Online |
Pay your property taxes online with your credit card. Make sure to allow a few days for your payment to process. If we don't receive your payment by the due date, you will receive a late penalty. |
Financial institution |
You can pay your property taxes directly through your online banking. Please set the bill payee as Orangeville tax and the account number is the roll number found on your property tax bill. |
In person |
You can drop off your payment to Town Hall, located at 87 Broadway. We are open:
If you can't make it to Town Hall during our regular business hours, you can drop your payment in our after-hours drop box located outside Town Hall. Please don't leave cash payments in the drop box. |

Send your property tax payment by mail to: Town Hall 87 Broadway Orangeville, ON L9W 1K1 If paying by mail, please make sure to allow a few days for the payment to arrive. You will receive a late penalty if we don't receive the payment by the due date. |

Late payments
Penalty is chargeable on the first day of default and on the first day of each month. The penalty rate is 1.25% per month.
