Starting Thursday, August 8, the private sector contractor will begin construction on the Avalon Centre entrance culvert.
Here’s what to expect:
- This project will require a lane closure on Broadway for approximately 3 months.
- At least one lane will stay open in each direction, but some delays are expected.

Orange route returns to regular routing at Broadway and C-Line

Good news, transit riders! Starting Thursday, August 8, the orange route will resume regular routing at Broadway and C-Line.
- Stop #3 (Broadway and C-Line) and stop #4 (60 C-Line) will be back in service
- The temporary stop at Brenda Blvd. and C-Line will be removed

Roadwork, sidewalk work, and more continues to move forward in Orangeville. Here's your construction breakdown for the week of August 6 to 9:
- C-Line culvert rehabilitation - Lane closures at C-Line and Broadway as needed for final road work.
- Avalon Construction - westbound right lane closure: Construction on the Avalon Centre entrance and culvert.
- Alder Street - lane restrictions from C-Line to Rayburn Drive: Various concrete work including sidewalk and curb repairs.
- St. Andrew Drive and Meadow Drive:

Exciting update, Orangeville!
The culvert rehabilitation project is almost complete, and the intersection of C-Line and Broadway will re-open to traffic by end of day Friday! There may still be some one-way traffic while the final work is finished.

Civic Holiday is just around the corner! We’ll be observing modified hours for the long weekend.
All Town offices, including Town Hall, will be closed on Mon., Aug. 5
Both Mill Street and Alder Street Library branches will be closed on Sun., Aug. 4 and Mon., Aug. 5.Mill Street branch will be open Sat., Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Alder Street branch will be open Sat., Aug 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Both Recreation Centres will be closed on Mon., Aug. 5.

Our 2024 Roads Program continues to move forward as our private sector contractors continue to be busy with summer work. Next up is Alder St., from C-Line to Rayburn Rd. Starting Tuesday, July 30, lane restrictions will be in place for curb work, followed by catch basin and manhole repairs. This work is estimated take about 2 weeks but could change with the weather. Town Hall Elevator Work Begins July 22

The elevator at Town Hall will be out-of-service for approximately 8 weeks starting Monday, July 22.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The second floor is accessible by stairs for those who do not require elevator services.
- Customer Service will be happy to assist you.
