Details

Santa comes to downtown Orangeville on Saturday, November 16th at 5 p.m. Here is everything you need to know:

 What is the parade route?
The parade route begins on First Street at Hansen Boulevard. Floats will head south on First Street towards Broadway. Floats will turn left onto Broadway and continue east before turning up Fourth Avenue.
Where can I watch the parade?
Families can watch the parade anywhere along the route. Families are reminded that spectating from the medians, standing on the road, and crossing the road during the parade is not permitted.
What time does the road close?
The road closure begins at 3 p.m. Please make every attempt to finish your errands before 3 p.m. on parade day. Cars that are blocked in as a result of the road closure must wait until the parade has concluded and the road is re-opened.
When will the road re-open?
The road will re-open at the conclusion of the parade. Please be patient and mindful of community safety when departing. The road will re-open as a slow, rolling opening behind the parade.
I am participating in the parade on a float or as a walker, where do I go to meet the parade organizers?

Floats will meet at the Canadian Tire parking lot to check-in. Walkers and participants may park in the Fairgrounds Shopping Centre parking lot and find their float in the line-up area (the middle parking lot between Canadian Tire and Leon's). Plenty of signage will be posted!

As there will be extensive road closures in the area, please consider walking to meet your float-mates.

After the parade, where can I pick-up my family or friends who were on a float?
The floats will disembark at the Rotary Park parking lot at Second Avenue and Sherbourne Street. To avoid road closures, it is recommended that drivers park in the Orangeville Square (Zehrs, DriveTest, etc.) parking lot and walk through Rotary Park to pick up their participants. Access to the Rotary Park parking lot will be extremely limited for vehicle traffic. By parking in the Orangeville Square parking lot, vehicles can exit smoothly and safely to Highway 10.
Are accessible parking spaces available along the route?
Many parking spaces will be available at local businesses along the parade route. To secure an accessible spot, it is recommended to arrive early.
What time will Santa arrive?
Santa will be on the final float in the parade, bringing the holiday energy before the parade concludes.
Can I volunteer at the parade?

Of course! In order to pull off this fantastic community event, we rely on volunteers like you!
