Reporting a Missing Person
The Orangeville Police Service recognizes the need to investigate missing person's reports in a timely and thorough fashion. To assist police in providing the most expedient service possible the department partners with community agencies to assist in responding to a missing person.
To co-ordinate efforts and assist stakeholders we have created a Missing Persons Information form. This form which consists of simple steps will assist in laying the groundwork for an efficient and effective plan.
The information captured in this form will provide police with emergency contact information, detailed physical descriptions, known associates, probable destination, means of transportation and special needs of the missing individual. This information will assist officers in conducting a thorough investigation by expediting the information gathering process, allowing officers to disseminate the information efficiently to front line officers and other assisting service providers.
Please complete all areas of the missing person form and print off a copy to provide to the responding officer along with a current photo of the missing person.
