The TD Summer Reading Club Storywalk® is returning to Downtown Orangeville, bringing back this engaging way to enjoy Broadway and partake in summer reading fun. Blast off into a summer adventure with this year’s feature story, “The Darkest Dark” by Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield. Orangeville Transit and Parks and Recreation are making changes to the stop at Alder Street Recreation Centre to make accessing the facility that much easier. The Town of Orangeville will begin a full assessment of the pool at the Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre. This assessment will identify the full extent of remediation required for the pool and consider other usage opportunities for the facility.

Transit Disruption Notice: Orange Route - Begins July 2, 2024

Due to construction and a road closure on C-Line, Orangeville Transit will experience a service disruption on the Orange route beginning on July 2. 

During the closure, the Orange Route will detour on Diane/Brenda Boulevard. 

  • Last Stop Before Detour: The Avalon Care Centre (Stop #2)
  • Temporary Stop: Brenda Boulevard and C-Line
  • Route Reconnection: No Frills at C-Line (Stop #5)

Please note during this closure, Stop #3 (Broadway and C-Line) and Stop #4 (60 C-Line)

All aquatics programs currently offered at the Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre are set to migrate to Alder Street Recreation Centre beginning on June 24.

The Town of Orangeville is making the shift to accommodate current participants who will be affected by challenges with mechanical features in the Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre’s Pool.
