Requests under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act are processed by the Clerk.

The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act embodies two important rights:

  • That records in the custody and control of a municipality are available to the public
  • That personal information about people is protected from disclosure

Requests For Information

Many of the Town of Orangeville's records are available without making a formal request. Some records, such as past Council minutes, are available online or through direct requests to the relevant department.

Please complete the required form and submit with the required $5 fee, payable to the Town of Orangeville, to the Clerk's Department.
