Animal Control

The Town contracts the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to enforce and administer animal related bylaws, and provincial rules.

The Orangeville and District Branch of the OSPCA enforces the Animal Control Bylaw (Number 48-2003).

The Animal Control Bylaw deals with issues such as:

  • barking dogs
  • dogs off leash
  • biting dogs
  • "poop and scoop"
  • prohibited animals

How Do I Purchase a Town of Orangeville Dog Licence

Town of Orangeville dog licences can be purchased through the Orangeville and District Branch of the OSPCA.  Please contact the OSPCA directly for more information regarding the fee for a licence and locations in Orangeville where you may purchase a licence.
