Crossing Guard Program

The Town of Orangeville Crossing Guard Program is the responsibility of the Town's Building Department. Crossing guards are responsible for helping pedestrians, primarily school children, cross streets.

The Town of Orangeville currently employs 30 crossing guards. There are 26 full-time stations throughout the Town. This dedicated group works hard to ensure children travel back and forth to schools safely. The crossing guards work different hours depending on which schools are crossing at their station.

If you are interested in becoming a crossing guard or have any questions regarding the program, please contact Debbie Sheardown at 519-941-0440 Ext. 2263 or e-mail at dsheardown@orangeville.ca .
