Applications open for 2024 Community Grants Program on February 1

On February 1, the Town of Orangeville will begin accepting applications for the first intake of the 2024 Community Grants Program. The community grants are available to not-for-profit businesses and charitable organizations that provide a social, economic, or other benefit to the Orangeville community.

Town of Orangeville Receives $250,000 from Rotary Club for Rotary Park Redevelopment Project

The Rotary Club of Orangeville (RCO) has committed to donating $250,000 to the redevelopment of Rotary Park, a Town of Orangeville project slated to begin this spring.

The Rotary Park project, approved by Orangeville Council in June of 2022, is planned over six phases (pending budget):

  • Watermain Work
  • Play Structure
  • Tennis and Pickle Ball Courts
  • Parking Lot and Artificial Skating Loop
  • Sports Fields (baseball and soccer)
  • Club House

Watermain work will commence in Spring 2024, followed by the playground...

On December 4 and 5, Orangeville Council met to review the proposed 2024 Budget, as tabled on November 27. After deliberation of the documents, the budget was unanimously passed, resulting in a 4.5 per cent net levy increase, which equates to $145 annually for the average property owner.

After much anticipation, the Town of Orangeville has revealed the winner of its snow plow naming contest. Ryan Ondusko, Manager of Public Works, made the announcement at Mayor Lisa Post’s public Town Hall meeting on November 29.

The new 2023 International Workstar plow, the first of its kind in Orangeville, will be known going forward as Snowbe Gone Kenobi.

The Town of Orangeville has added a new tree sculpture to its unique collection of public art.

The Farmer stands at 64 Broadway, at the corner of Wellington Street in downtown Orangeville. He is dressed in overalls, a shop hat, and sturdy boots.
